SoftSuede Clear

Polymeric has developed a one-part water based soft touch clear for both screen printing and roller coat applications. The coating was specifically designed for book covers, posters and POP applications, making it an excellent alternative to the more costly conventional UV overprint matte coatings. SoftSuede is able to withstand most post-printing operations such as die-cutting, scoring, folding, foil stamping, embossing and thermoforming. The coating has excellent water and chemical resistance and adheres to most rigid plastics, board and coated paper stocks. It is compatible over many solvent and UV inks. When properly applied, SoftSuede exhibits an extremely low gloss, supple finish. Testing is underway to determine the coating's suitability for inkjet receptivity.
