SMOKESCREEN

SMOKESCREEN is a satin UV intumescent coating formulated to have excellent fire retardant properties. It provides a barrier coating for the graphics in the event that it comes into contact with a flame, extinguishing the fire and causing a layer of char on the surface of the print. In some cases, the graphics can be saved by wiping down the char with acetone. The coating can enhance the capabilities of flame retardant substrates as well as contribute fire retardant properties to a non flame retardant substrate.

MICROSHIELD

Microshield is a coating available in both UV and water-base that kills the top antibiotic resistant pathogens. Available for both screen and roller coat applications, this coating has excellent adhesion to wallpaper, vinyls, coated paper and specified plastics. It's inherent ability to kill antibiotic resistant microbes makes it a great choice for graphics placed in hospitals, schools, restaurants, airports and other public venues.

Extremely effective on wallpaper stocks.

POLYGUARD - RESISTANT TO SPRAY PAINT AND SHARPIES

Polymeric Imaging has developed a one-part, satin UV coating available for screen and roller coat applications that has great adhesion to a variety of materials including vinyls, coated paper, polycarbonate and styrene. The coating has excellent anti-graffiti properties and can be used for signage that is subjected to spray paint and sharpies. Polyguard resists many household and industrial cleaners such as acetone, isopropyl alcohol and ammonia-based solutions, as well as mustard, red wine and gasoline, enhancing its wide market suitability.

Solvent-based Multifunctional Screen Printing Ink

Polymeric Imaging introduces a fast drying, solvent-based multipurpose screen printing ink that can be used on posterboard, vinyl films, polycarbonate, plexiglass and other rigid plastics with three year exterior durability. This ink line was developed using green solvents so as to reduce overall VOC content and to promote a lower carbon footprint. This series is especially suited for use in countries that do not yet have UV curable or digital capabilities. Formulated for lower cost export dealers.

SoftSuede Clear

Polymeric has developed a one-part water based soft touch clear for both screen printing and roller coat applications. The coating was specifically designed for book covers, posters and POP applications, making it an excellent alternative to the more costly conventional UV overprint matte coatings. SoftSuede is able to withstand most post-printing operations such as die-cutting, scoring, folding, foil stamping, embossing and thermoforming. The coating has excellent water and chemical resistance and adheres to most rigid plastics, board and coated paper stocks. It is compatible over many solvent and UV inks. When properly applied, SoftSuede exhibits an extremely low gloss, supple finish. Testing is underway to determine the coating's suitability for inkjet receptivity. For a sample or technical information on the SoftSuede Clear, please call Customer Service at 800-746-5567.

SCRATCH OFF SILVER & PRIMER COAT

Polymeric Imaging has developed a brilliant, one-part silver for scratch off applications. The silver can be used in combination with our UV Primer Coat to provide excellent scratchability and opacity. The silver can be applied in one pass using a 280 plain weave mesh screen and cured using a 300 watts/inch medium pressure mercury vapor lamp. By eliminating multiple passes of silver, time and expense can be reduced compared to other scratch off inks. The silver has also been shown to work with some soy and water-based primer coats. Please call Polymeric Imaging's Technical Service Department for print samples.
